The Broker - What It Is
TabTrade.com opened in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It suggests the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For something that is a few months old, that coverage is broad.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be coming. That would round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform run 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says something about priorities.
Put together those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Here is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If that makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You put money in, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you deposit.
